Medical tourism packages in India: separate the hospital bill from journey support
A package should make it clear which services are clinical, which are practical, who receives each payment, and what happens when a stay or treatment plan changes. Hospital treatment is estimated and billed by the hospital.
The hospital estimate is separate
After report review, the hospital may issue a personalised estimate for consultation, tests, surgery, room, medicines, and other clinical charges. The patient pays the hospital directly and should request inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, date, and payment terms in writing.
Journey support should be itemised
Depending on the agreed scope, practical coordination may cover accommodation outside the hospital, airport pickup, local transport, visa-document coordination, meals, interpretation, physiotherapy coordination, discharge logistics, and follow-up scheduling. Flights, government fees, complications, medicines, and extensions must be confirmed separately.
Use a report-first sequence
The safer order is reports, hospital consultation, written estimate, package comparison, and then travel planning. Sending reports does not commit a patient to treatment, payment, or travel.
